Lucy Pringle & Chris Wright

4th August
£8/£6(concession)

With an emphasis on simple and expressive arrangements, Lucy and Chris' songs have already earned them a prestigious Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections 2009. Lucy & Chris began singing together in 2008, brought together by a common love of traditional and contemporary Scottish songs. Lucy was the winner of the Muchty women's singing competition in 2002, and in addition to her duo with Chris, she can be heard on the second album of Fred Freeman's Complete Songs of Robert Tannahill project. Chris works for the landmark Kist o Riches (Tobar an Dualchais) project, cataloguing the Scots song archive at the School of Scottish Studies in Edinburgh. As a traditional singer with a keen interest in song history and the Scots singing tradition, he particularly enjoys reviving old songs.
