This Saturday from 1 till 4 pm we are having our one year birthday party at the community garden with our 'Spring Into Spring' event. There will be Willow Den making all day, live music, lovely food and an art exhibition in the Energy Awareness Hub. The day will be a lot of fun and there will be a lot of sun and we hope to see you there.
The gardening workshop for this Sunday is fully booked up, but there are still a couple of places available for exactly the same basic gardening workshop the following Saturday, the 2nd of April, from 12 - 6 and will cover all the basics of sowing and growing for the year ahead, with a cost of just ?5 per head. If you were wanting a place on the workshop please email back as soon as possible, as there are only a couple of places left, and its first come first served.
On Sunday the 10th of April we are having a Forest Gardening workshop here at the community garden from 12 - 6, facilitated by a very experienced gardener, which will look at ground cover perennials for plants and wildlife and will be a very interesting day. The cost for the whole day is just £5 and if you are interested in booking a place please email back.
We here at the community garden have written an Energy Awareness Pack looking at ways in which we can reduce our energy demand and waste generation. Energy Awareness Park available on our website and hard copies will also be available at the community garden from this Saturday if you were wanting to have a look.
We will be working here at the community garden, Friday 25th March, from 12 - 5, and on Sunday again from 12 - 5, if anyone was wanting to pop down to lend a hand they would be more than welcome.
