Woodlands Community Garden Opening Hours

We will be in the Community Garden this weekend again from 12 - 5pm on Saturday and 10 - 5pm on Sunday. The weather forecast shows bright sunny skies and not a drop of rain, and the sun has started shining again on the garden after the cold winter darkness. We still have a lot we want to achieve in finishing the construction of the garden, especially over the next few weeks, and any help would be greatly appreciated. This weekend we will be finishing off our community composting site, building some more raised beds and starting to prepare our orchard for planting. We would love to see you there, no experience necessary!

Help Required for Funding/grant Claims

Does anyone have any experience they would be willing to lend in filling out fund raising and grant application forms? We are seeking funding in order to maintain the project and if anyone was willing to lend a hand in this area we would love the help, please email back if interested.

Draft Busting Workshop

There will be a draft busting workshop running on the evening of the 10th and the morning of the 11th March. We are looking for a group of people who live in Woodlands to be trained up for free in draft proofing, they will receive enough free materials to draft proof two windows and one door if they pledge to share this knowledge with one neighbour. Our aim is to create a group of people who will take this knowledge beyond the workshop and be willing to pass on the expertise at a later date. Please call Nina on 07726242557 if this is something you are interested in.

Planning our final event

It's almost been a year now since we started work at the community garden, and on Saturday the 26th of March we are planning a big event to celebrate our achievements and generally have a good time. On Sunday the 6th of March at 3pm we will be having a planning meeting for the event in the garden. Do you know of any bands who would like to play, any events, activities or workshops we could put on? If so please come along to the meeting, or if you can't make it drop us an email with your ideas, we would love to hear them!

Energy Awareness Drop in Hours

We are continuing our Energy Awareness Drop In Hours at Woodside library on Wednesdays between 3 - 4pm and Saturdays from 1 - 2pm if anyone would like some energy saving advice, please come along.
