CD Launch New Album 'Home' by Ciaran Dorris

Acclaimed singer-songwriter and popular Celtic Music Radio presenter Ciaran Dorris moved to Glasgow from his native Belfast in 1988, quickly earning plaudits for his 'sensitive' songwriting and 'emotionally-charged singing-style...which tugs at the heart strings' (Glasgow Evening Times).

Equally at home in the contemporary folk, traditional and Americana genres, Ciaran has toured and recorded with the band Arran Bede and later with Perthshire singer Heather Innes. Their 2004 album 'Waiting for the Calm' was described as 'an aural feast' by Irish Music Magazine.

In 2006 his debut solo release 'Chasing Dreams Down A Dirt Road' was proclaimed 'a fine, literate collection' by Sarah McQuaid in the Irish Times.

Ciaran's new album 'Home' is an intensely personal collection of songs, written at a time of great change and introspection, and explores the concept of 'home' on many different levels. It was produced by award-winning Wet, Wet, Wet producer Graeme Duffin and features the talents, amongst many others, of BBC Young Tradition Winner Shona Mooney on fiddle, and Young Tradition finalist Calum Stewart on flute and whistle.
