Trip to the Scottish Borders

We recently took some time-out from work and spent a few days in the Scottish borders. I was particularly keen to visit Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott, as I have been reading his diary recently. His home is magnificent and is a refection of the huge success he had as a writer - and the rewards that came with that success.

Glasgow River Festival

At the weekend we went along to the Glasgow River Festival - we being myself, Pat, my mum and dad, my sister Rose and her partner Vinnie.
