Jim's Glasgow West End Photography Diary February 2008

Here are some of the photographs I have taken while out and about in the West End of Glasgow - I hope you find them interesting. Click on the images to view larger versions. You are free to download and use for non-commercial purposes any of my photographs as long as you put a link to this site and give me credit for the photograph (Jim Byrne)

Some months the images are a mixture of photographs of the West End, photographs of Glasgow and photographs of Scotland.

20th February 2008

First daffodils of 2008 on our balcony - spring is arriving very early in the West End of Glasgow.

Photo: First Daffodils of the year.

I went for a wander around the Kelvinbridge and Woodlands Road area last Sunday and took a few photographs.

Photo: New building on Gibson street.

Noticed this new building going up on Gibson Street across the road from Offshore. Anyone know what this is going to be?

Photo: Otago Studios.

An interesting old sign in Otago Street.

Photo: Outside Offshore cafe.

The lane next to Offshore cafe. Offshore is one of my favourite wifi hangout - when I need to get out of the office to do some work.

Photo: Park practice.

Park Practice on Woodlands Road - just what I need - some alternative therapy to get me through the first part of the year.

Photo: Lost Chord music shop.

With a shop-front like that - it's hard to walk past and not take a photograph. Lost Chord music on Woodlands Road.

Photo: Bar Bola Woodlands.

Photo: The Left Bank, Gibson Street, Glasgow.

Left Bank restaurant, bistro, cafe. This is a groovy place - I've been in for coffee a few times.

Photo: Kelvinbridge subway entrance, Hillhead.
