Don't miss tomorrow's Yorkhill Easter Egg Run

Easter Sunday, 31st March 2013

Tomorrow thousands of bikers will descend upon Glasgow for the annual Yorkhill Easter Egg Run which starts at Yorkhill Hospital from 12pm!

The highly anticipated Easter event has been a tradition in Glasgow for many years, and to many bikers, it is the unofficial start of the motorcycle season. The Run is a great opportunity for bikers to get together, and to help raise vital funds for Scotland's largest children's hospital.

We are looking for as many people as possible to support the event again this year, and come together tomorrow to take part in a huge motorcycle procession through the west end of Glasgow, starting and finishing at Yorkhill Hospital. Those children who are able are brought from the wards to see the amazing display of bikes and sometimes even get a chance to have their picture taken with the bikers and their bikes - a once in a lifetime experience for some of our young patients!

We are also delighted to announce our official sponsor for this year's Yorkhill Easter Egg Run is Firecrest. Firecrest Motorcycle Outfitters is Scotland's newest bike clothing store and nationwide website. We are thrilled to be working with Firecrest this year, and would like to say a huge thank you to them for supporting us this year.

Whether you can make it tomorrow or not please help us to provide specialised medical equipment and other resources essential for the care of children at Yorkhill throughout the year ahead by texting Easter to 70707 to make an instant £5 donation to Yorkhill Children's Foundation. Every penny makes a real lasting difference and we would like to ask for your help to try and raise as much as possible for the incredibly brave and inspirational children who will be spending this Easter at Yorkhill.

So please pick up your phones and make a text donation today!

Once again your support is hugely appreciated and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for helping us to make 2013 our most successful year so far.

Happy Easter!
