1st September 9am- 12noon - Inchinnan Industrial Estate.
To add to the carnival atmosphere at the Georgetown Cup, and to hopefully raise a bit of extra money for our chosen charity - Accord Hospice, we are intending to hold a Flying Scot rally at this years event.
format: - bring along your Rattrays Flying Scot and make a small donation as your entry fee. We will place a collecting bucket at each bike entered and people can then drop donations at the bike they think is the most interesting/best presented. The bike with the most donations by the end of the show will win a special prize donated by our sponsor Thomsons Cycles.
There will also be a special prize this time for the fastest man over the course on a Flying Scot. So come on folks - get up into the loft and dig out that Classic Scottish mark. Bring it along on the 1st September and join in the fun- its for a very good cause.

Sound like a great event and novel approach. I'll add the promotion on the what's on on the website. My brother used to have a Flying Scot. I couldn't believe how light it was. He was given it as payment for some decorating work he did. He spotted the cycle, which hadn't been used for years propped in a corner. It was ancient and needed a lot of work but a cracking bicycle. I used to borrow it sometimes, although, it was really too high for me. I could only dismount by taking the bike to the kerbside and tilting it.
I'm letting all my cycling buddies know about the event. Thanks, Dex.
