Don't forget girls and boys,it's never too early to start making your Eurovision costumes for the big viewing night.
I've decided to give the Abba-esque electric blue spandex a miss this time,as even the Sudocreme wasn't abating the chaffing in all those awkward little places from last year.
No this year I've gone all Demis Roussos in a more forgiving and comfortable kaftan.I'm running up two vintage Brentford Nylons duvet covers from my trousseau(unused, but thats a sad story for another time),the pillow cases make an interesting turban, and with the addition of a few jewellery and coq feather finds from a carboot sale(I've always struck gold in Mountblow, although still to find that elusive Faberge Egg). There is a lot of synthetic in the fabric,so I will have to be extra careful not to self combust in my own static before the results are announced.
Do feel free to let me know what you will all be wearing,
Willie.x.

Willie, It's Eurovision, no Priscillia Queen of the Desert...

I doubt I'll be looking in but if I do, I'll be sticking on a home made wig and a couple of sideburns as a homage to Englebert. Well, I will, as soon as I find the cat's auld blanket.....

Blimey, just heard on LBD that Coty is making a 10m bid to take over Avon, after Avon was impicated in a some sort of trading scandal in the States. There's mer to bath salts than we think...

I like the sound of your Engel homage.Just you go for it girl and save the last waltz for me.
I am surprised its as little as 10 million to buy Avon, but perhaps thats the going rate if there's a bit of scandal thrown into the mix..
Who could forget those bath salts?Christmas wasn't the same without them. They came in glass bottles with little satin bows round the neck, were always bright purple and called lavendar,or gardenia if they were white.Oh,and bath cubes? They had to be fully melted before you sat in the bath or you could get startled.Even my rubber duck was wheezy with those pongs,

Oh well, that's Eurovision over for another year, and thats the cozzy back in the cupboard too, once I get it off that is.
Engel. and his song were awful, and how that was chosen to represent the U.K. in her Majesties Jubilee year I don't know.
It was the usual tactical voting between countries of course, but I think there were a good few singers this year with excellent voices making it hard to choose.
The Russian grannies took the biscuit looking like a set of dolls that didn't fit into each other, and reminded me of B&Q on O.A.P.discount Wednesdays with that oven routine.
Anyway we had a great time here until my catsuit zipper stuck. If I can't get out of it soon its a trip to A&E.I thought I might struggle through with it 'til "Jubie Wknd" ,but its just not practical on many levels,

You've just got to approach it with the right attitude, Harper, get your tongue in your cheeck and ask Willie to sort you out with suitable clobber.

I hear these Eurovision parties re a lot of fun. I still don't know who won. We recorded it but during the Russian grannies I dozed off and Jim got the guitar out. I think we've missed it this year. Three hours is too much.
