Aye Write Book Events

Apart from the Aye Write Festival in March other book events take place in Glasgow throughout the year.

Janice Galloway at The Mitchell

Thursday 8 September 2011 6pm

Hear Janice Galloway reading from and discussing her new book All Made Up.

This sequel to her critically acclaimed memoir sees Janice Galloway steering the awkward child introduced in This is Not About Me through her teenage years. Funny, sad and defiantly unsentimental, this is the story of a girl's path to adulthood and a family's secrets coming to reluctant light.

Tickets cost £5 (£3 concession) and are available online or by calling 0141 353 8000.

Robert Douglas at The Mitchell

Monday 12 September 2011 6pm

Come and see Robert Douglas launch his new novel Staying on Past the Terminus with his usual blend on laughter and tears.

Set in 1961, the second in Robert's trilogy of novels set at 18 Dalbeattie Street sees the trams still running on Maryhill Road but not for much longer.

Tickets cost £5 (£3 concession) and are available online or by calling 0141 353 8000.
