Evidence please as regard your thoughts on London's east end. I admire Daily Mail readers who come on here and post their air head thoughts. Like Oonah King they don't expect to be challenged and found out. His arrogance with the senate sub committee proved to be correct.
Jings, Dex, you'll be asking me to put my workings in the margins next.

Gallowway lost his seat in Bow because it was felt he wasn't committed enough to serve local issues, a view that was strong enough not to return him to his seat in the election. It seems that arrogance, even when justified in some eyes, is less of an assest than application to the job.. Galloway seems more suited to an international platform, than local politics and his record and interests supports this, Personally, I think he is probably more effective as a political commentator and journalist, than a politician. I also think he quite enjoys being a maverick and I am not sure this is consistent with being a good party politician.
I am reluctant to bring Oonah King into the debate as this seems to far a reach from the original question. My view still stands, I don't think Sheridan will "ride again" in any political sense. I don't think Galloway will reach the political heights he could have and perhaps deserved to and in both cases, for reasons largely of their own making.

I couldn't possibly do justice to London's East End so here, start with Wiki and progress as your interest takes you.

I think that with regard to both Sheridan and Galloway that egos got in the way of vision. And whatever were they doing on Big Brother? That cat purring image was beyond embarrassing. Certainly not going to help on any platform, international or otherwise.
Foolish men. Sad for them and sad for Scotland.

Actually, as far as his constituents are concerned, that was a very bad move... well, that along with his appalling record of voting in the House.

I don't think any one really cares about any politician or wanna be politicians these days really.

We're definitely shouting out for somebody who will challenge things that are so wrong. Now if Tommy could only resurrect himself as the hero of anti-poll tax days because there's a lot of sorting out needing to be done.
Especially for those vulnerable people who were promised to be taken into account. Not so. Changes to benefits have put an enormous amount of people with serious health problems under severe stress.
How on earth are the chronically sick expected to participate in back to work groups. If they don't attend then their benefits are automatically cut by a substantial sum.
Come on, Tommy, or somebody worthy of the title politician. Take up the challenge because nobody else seems to be bothering too much. It's all sights on Independence issue, to the detriment of other issues that need tackling.

Strathclyde Police detain Andy Coulson in Tommy Sheridan trial perjury inquiry
Prime Minister David Cameron's former director of communications Andy Coulson has been detained by police investigating allegations of perjury.
Mr Coulson, 44, was detained at his home in the Dulwich area of London at 06:30 by seven officers from Strathclyde Police.
He is being held on suspicion of committing perjury at the trial of former MSP Tommy Sheridan in 2010.
This is fun. BBC news
One wonders what role News International played in getting Tommy charged with perjury in the first place.

Interesting, although, I must say that I prefer Scot's law whereby:
"In Scotland, a suspect is detained on suspicion of an offence, unlike in England and Wales where a suspect is arrested."
I get worried about these people who insist on giving more than 100%

I don't really think that seven Strathclyde policemen were needed to bring Coulson from London to Govan. Did they think he was going to put up a fight?
