Being a bit far flung, I sook up these recommendations and will pass them along to my new work colleague, a fellow Glaswegian.

Like me, he left Scotland in the 70s. He is a graudate of Glasgow Art School and we know lots of people in common, including the lovely Ranald McColl and Cliff Hanley, who were art school comtemporaries of his in the mid 60s. We have had great fun this week catching up on mutual aquaintances, pals, old hauints and songs we fell in love to. We attracted a fair few stange looks from our lovely English colleagues bragging about the best bars and gigs. Posted Image We will get round to doing some work eventually. In the meantime, I am looking out all my Bud Neil books and an old copy of Dancing in the Streets for him but it is always great to hear about up and coming Scottish writers. I've directed him to LG's lovely photograpphs of the GI bride and the feature on Ranald on the main site. With a bit of luck he might join us here. Posted Image

Thanks, peggyb.

I'll be looking forward to seeing Tom Leonard, that 'man of passion and compassion', at an alternative royal wedding celebration at the STUC. :)
