To be honest, it is not a real concern except that I had offered to collect him and deliver him to wherever he was staying. Just showing a bit of the normal Scottish hospitality and a welcome to a fellow poster. I wanted to do that but may be unable to follow through if I can't arrange my life around it. I do have other commitments and plans for certain days next week.Keep the heid, hingmie. I think he said it was Tuesday so that would be 26th. Although, need the final confirmation from the man.
Tam's visit ...

Hope Tuesday evening will suit you, Hingmie. I don't know if tam has confirmed his accommodation but as he is getting in around tea time then might be an idea to grab a bite?To be honest, it is not a real concern except that I had offered to collect him and deliver him to wherever he was staying. A huge number of trees in this wee toon and today was made for photographers, yellows, reds of multiple hues and pure gold. Temps in the middle forties, quite breezy and a few whispy clouds.
Oan my way tae set up for "pepper" at the senior centre and a dug am quite familiar with is wanderin aboot oan the road. He comes back tae the pavement and is walking behind a woman.
I says tae her, "am thinking that the dog isnae with you", and she says, "your right, he was on a front porch and started to follow me when I walked by".
Now correct me if am wrang but was that no the perfect time tae say, "cannae blame him, a woman as attractive as yursel must have lots of admirers".
Anyway, she asks if I know the dug and then she smiles because the dug is licking my hand and being scratched behind the ear.
He is a guid size, very blond Alsation and most people wid avoid him....i wid have been a bit apprehensive mahsel but he made it very clear tae me that he was a friend....a few months past.
I walk him hame and he wullnae go in the back yard. Naebody hame and he seems content tae sit oan the front porch....a beautiful wooden porch, which I like.
I tell him tae stay and continue oan my way. Two doors doon, a lady opens her front door and says, "is that that damn dog loose again". She is wearin a white terry towel robe....goad but wimmen look guid in thais things especially when the hair is a bit dishevled.
Och where was i......oh ay...ah says, "well he was loose but seems tae have settled oan the fron porch". She looks past me and there he is, wagging his tail and jist the hint of a grin.
I tell her I wull take him back and she says, try the front door, it's usually unlocked.......i did as i was telt and he is safe for another day.
I need tae go back tae the seniors and set up for duplicate bridge.

"Hard tae get" me? Not bloody likely. I would be thrilled to be got, fifties to seventies is a guid age bracket but willing tae be got by ladies as young as thirty-five....and someone is bound tae think, "a woman that age wid be the end of him" and I wid think, "wid there be a mair fitting end" ?
The last time I posted I ended up reading posts by Pat, Hingmie and my friend Harper. am no gonnae read any because am needed at the centre...well mibee no needed but i dae havtae set up for duplicate...ay dae the set up and they let me play.....it's a guid exchange...issat no quid ??? ????

Is this the one, Tam?PS was that a song sung by Reba.
I'm lying here in this big bed,
It's just somewhere to lay my head,
I doubt that I will get much taller,
So lay me down on something smaller,
My heart tells me I gotta move,
I feel I've something yet to prove,
There's still some life in this ol' dog yet,
So long as I avoid the vet.
I've long dreamt of this solo flight,
Heading west, towards the light,
I yearn for scones and well brewed tea,
And two lassies waiting there for me.
My silver bird is drifting low,
Ahead, a glimpse of old Glas go,
Beneath the wings I see a rock,
Reminds me of a certain crock,
Who suffers from the chronic fartin'
I think he lives in yon Dumbartin.
I look forward to the friends I've met,
And one or two I've yet to meet,
Each dog I pass, I'll no doubt pet,
That's just my way on every other street.
Corus:
The leaves turn browner day by day,
I've changed my pants and I'm on my way,
I relish thoughts of open skies,
I feel a pressure on my thighs,
No deep vein thrombosis yet I think,
Braehead I hear has a skating rink.
My thoughts are turning now to Perth,
The bonniest place upon this earth,
My kith & kin have long lived there,
I'll take the time to stand & stare.
Time is what I have in hand,
I'll march there to a differant band,
Not one with pipes & birl skirl,
(Though great with lassies in a twirl)
My needs are simpler now, I think,
A dance in Rio's and a sweet soft drink.
Corus:
The leaves turn browner day by day,
I've changed my pants and I'm on my way,
I relish thoughts of open skies,
I feel a pressure on my thighs,
No deep vein thrombosis yet I think,

This might be woth a look on the 28th:
Tommy's Peace
Are you suggesting we go along, HH? Sounds interesting. Can we go on somewhere afterwards and sing the song?
You've excelled yourself.
