Absolutamente, harper. My sister is going to watch the game in Little Italy in Toronto. I would love that - well unless I was in Roma or Milano. I'll hang out with the Venditozzi boys on Facebook instead. :)

Just saw Ryan Giggs and Kelly Holmes being interviewed at Wimbledon. She looks half his age.

Italy looking for a miracle - one man and two goals down. Spain are so skilful and fast and, such a shame, also helluva dirty.

Spain the champions and well deserved but thank heavens for Alan Hanson and Vialli talking some sense. They didn't look too hot against Portugal. They started off tonight absolutely fabulously and two great goals in the first half. Italy missed a fair few shots. They must also have been pretty tired after having three games in one week and arriving at their destination for the match at around 3.00 a.m. in the morning - to play the world champions. A bit of a disadvantage there, I would say.

The world's best ever team? What do you say?

A fabulous game made all the better because both teams wanted to play football. Spain are undoubtedly the team riding a crest of a wave, victors in three major tournaments in a row isn't a fluke. Italy have been rebuilding for several years now and they look to have the structure of a great team emerging, they will be someone to be reckoned with in the World Cup 2014. However, I expect Scotland to take that world cup by storm, showing the Brazilians on their own soil how to play the game. And, before anyone asks, yes I have been drinking B)

That's the attitude, samsc. I didn't enjoy the game but primarily because I just thought the commentators were dire. The Spanish team were undoubtedly wonderful but not a Pele in sight. Is it just all technique?

It does help if you can do the basics like pass, move into space and shoot. Luck also helps.

i didnt know whether to watch it on bbc or itv....but i opted for bbc as the commentators are ever so slightly less annoying.
but they did annoy me anyway so i pressed the red button for "alternative commentary "....the choices where bbc own gab, radio 5's high pitch squeaky guy, no commentary or cbbc

yes cbbc

so i watched about 10 mns of it with some guy telling a story then having a wee song lol

was very bizarre

never in any doubt that Spain would win....theyve been unstoppable for the last few years

Goal-line technology could be introduced into the Premier League pretty soon:

Dennis Law got a bit weepy when his statue was unveiled in his home town of Aberdeen.

And good to see Ifeoma Dieke as woman of the match in team Women's Team GB against Sweden. I'm supporting the women's team as Scots lassies, Ifeoma and Kim Little, are in it. :) No N. Irish or Welsh though so it's not really representative of GB. There should be quotas. Or at least one player from each country.

David Beckham should also have a role. He could have been in the squad. They look pure rotten anyhoo.

It was a fantastic final and one that both teams deserve credit for trying to win rather than trying to stifle.

Great result for St Mirren

I wish I'd seen it, samsc.  I love when the underdog wins these big games.

That was also a serious score for the Welsh rugby team yesterday.

Excuse me sullying this thread withe PROPER sport. :P

http://www.rbs6natio..._multimedia.php

Wales demolished England 30 to 3.  Scotland didn't loose too badly to France mind you and came 3rd.  Ireland got the wooden spoon and it was sad to see brain O'Driscol sin binned in his last 6 Nations championship.  here's hoping Scotland has a change of manager before next year.  I don't know who hated us more during the Scotland - Ireland match, the manmager or the ref.

Ok, back to the world of ego, mega bucks and silly hairstyles..... :P
