Westie, I love that picture!

He doing what we call "Going g-darn hog wild!". It's made up phrase but does describe the behavior.

 The phrase definitely seems to suit, peony.
I can't hear myself saying it as yet - think I'll need some practice.

Nutria this spring after a rain. Wolfie always wants to chase them, but she has a strong aversion to water.

I like Yorkies just fine if they are not allowed to be yappers.

Nutria - not seen one of those before, peony, I would be very unhappy to encounter this beastie.

Yapping is not pleasant. I think Jack Russells tend to be on the yappy side but I am sure with some voice training this can be curbed.

Caspar looks a lot like the late, much missed "Bud". Bud was a Llahso.
The auld dug here has terrible breath. She also pees in the hoose and sometimes dis a number two. She barks and usually has nae idea why.She walks intae things and hastae be carried up and doon the front steps. Lately she has started tae howl aroond five AM and i have nae idea why....mind she does stop when i scratch the back of her ears.
Am writing this and she jist started tae bark....makes me smile a lot.

Nutria are like fifteen pound rats, I guess, except they have no interest in human dwellings, etc. They are hard on levees, expecially in New Orleans. They are very shy and it's hard to even see them, let alone get a pic of them.

Nice doggie, Ozneil, do you walk him much?

Enjoy your dog, Tam as long as possible. I think that nutria are related to muskrats.

The Auld Dug Died:
Must have been aroond four in the morning. I was sitting at the computer and I heard her; she sometimes falls a lot because the rug has been lifted. Oanyway i went tae see her, thought she might want tae go oot. She had fallen and I straightened her up but she fell again. She was layin we her heid partially under the lazy boy chair and then the legs started to move as if she was running. She whimpered a wee bit and the chest was heaving.
Am quite sure it was heart worm but i went and woke herslf up and said it was a heart attack. She gets up and is going oan aboot "she should have been put doon days ago but YOU cancelled the credit card". Angry i was, wanted tae belt thon mindless bastirt.
Oanyway herself wrapped the auld dug in a towel and held her till the end. It's what the auld dug wid have wanted.
There were nae tears, no then anyway.

Acht tam, sad news, but sounds like she's been a bit poorly. Maybe better for her this way. Don't beat yourself up about it or try laying blame, although they're all normal grieving processes. Remember the good times always.
