Nothing very interesting - the exceedingly dismal Anderston Kelvingrove church.

Is it dismal ? I oft use it as a landmark to describe the correct route to venues I use and most people seem to know where it is. WhatI want to know is what that red brick building (fascia) some sort of campus is?
Always seeking, always hoping, often disappointed. When posting I only voice one opinion; my own.

I believe the Galloping Major rescued it & gave it a warm & loving home. Sigh, a happy ending. B)
Changed back to 'Peace & Love' after reading Snowy's post.

It is indeed dismal both inside and out. Almost a bad as the adjacent Salvation Army citadel. The church replaced Kent Rd St Vincent church which went on to become John Smiths the booksellers warehouse (now flats) and Kelvingrove Parish church which I believe became Ca Va studios and is now becoming flats.

The red brick building in the foreground on the right is mostly a call centre for Thus http://www.thus.net The building it replaced was most recently various things for Wylie and Lochhead. The step on the pavement leads to a door behind which was a steep flight of stairs. The large room at the top of the stairs was a coffin storage area for their undertaking business and the aisles between the stacked coffins were used as a shooting range by the Glasgow Scout Association. The guy who was in charge in my day, Mr Newlands, lived in the close with the big arched entrance beside the Ashoka across the road.
