Universal Credit

Recommended Posts

I have no idea how any government thinks it is acceptable to have claimants wait six weeks for payment.  They say their aim is to encourage people to manage their money better and to create incentives into work?

It'll be a poor Christmas for those in transition on to Universal Credit. Many will be forced into debt so that their kids don't miss out. Sad country.

I find that confusing, Samsc. Has this actually been agreed with EU?  See Grimsby who voted to leave are now also looking for special conditions. Wonder how many more exemptions will be rquested?

Cornwall (another brexit area) also looking for special deals

Can't say I blame you, CL. I feel like hiding away those weeks I watch Question Time.  When you look around at the fiasco that is Universal Credit and then Brexit, you are almost happy to hear about a Royal Wedding, although, the money for that would come in handy for the food bank users.
