Have fun, samsc.  I'll be away too. Going to Malaga on Tuesday and planning a few day trips. Possibly Seville, Cordoba and Granada. :)

I'd love to visit.  I love my Polish friends in Glasgow.

Krakow old town is a delight, its almost Disney like.  St Mary's Basilica is a breath taking church to visit, whether you are religious or not.

And, very importantly, beer is less than £2 a pint :-)

Ha ha. I don't know how much it is here. What does the coffee cost?

My daughter and I had a coffee and a fruit tea in what must be the poshest cafe/restaurant in Krakow; it is in the cloth hall building which runs the length of the old town main square - this is perfect tourist trap - yet our bill came to a £5 for what was superb coffee and tea.  The tea (fruits of the forest) was amazing and came in a funky pot and cup system that had my laptop/i-pad generation daughter fascinated.
