WELLINGTON CHURCH INTERNATIONAL CLUB

We welcome people from anywhere to come and join us. You may be an asylum seeker or a student, settled here or just passing through the city. Whoever you are you are invited to join the Club (which has FREE MEMBERSHIP) From September till May we meet every Friday evening at 7.30pm till 9.30pm in the Southpark Avenue hall of Wellington Church. The church faces onto University Avenue, Glasgow.

News

Hallo Everyone - First a very BIG THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to a most successful Chinese Burns Night last week. Everyone learned something and had a good time too. It was a special pleasure to have, as one of our guests, Professor Su, co-director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Glasgow. Thank you to all the contributors who were brave enough to read some of Robertj Burns' poetry. Special mention of Xue who created some lovely Burns decorations and Chao, Danae and Adama who made haggis dumplings and Hua who's ability to bring along willing volunteers was lovely! Thank you one and all.

Next up tonight (Friday 3 February) is the first of February HEALTH MONTH evenings. Alison will share tips on how to cope with stress or conflict in DON'T WORRY! BE HAPPY!

So even if you are not stressed - Don't Worry! Be Happy! Just come along for 7.30pm start to Wellington Church halls at 77 Southpark Avenue G12 8LE and enjoy meeting new people, drinking tea and trying out fun ways to relax.

On Friday 10 February our dance teacher -Walter Proven - will return to teach us some more dances in time for a ceilidh in March. If you were one of the DEMO DANCE TEAM last summer, dust off your dance slippers and come along again.
