They will be joined by local musical legend Eddie McGuire in the dual-role of composer and flautist, to give the Glasgow premiere of Panda Suite - a piece specially written to celebrate the arrival of the pandas in Scotland. The concerts, at 2pm and 4pm on Saturday 2nd June, are priced at £7 for adults and £5 for children if bought in advance, or £9/£6 on the day.

Cottiers Theatre, 93 - 95 Hyndland Street, Glasgow, G11 5PU
Daniel's Beard are joined for their now annual WEF performance of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf (arranged by Ostermeyer) by BBC Radio Scotland presenter Jamie MacDougall , this year using Liz Lochhead's Glaswegian translation of the text. The programme will also include The Sound of Me, a work developed by Hear My Music as part of a project entitled Drumchapel Sound box. Drumchapel Sound Box worked over a period of 7 months with young people aged 16-25 with a learning disability exploring sound and developing musical and compositional skills. The Sound of Me, by Jennifer Martin, is a culmination of all the musical material collected over this period and explores individual's characters, describing each person musically. The concert will open with the selection of nonsense poems that Lenny Sayers set to music for Daniel's Beard - The Quangle-Wangle's Hat, Jabberwocky, and for the first time, The Owl and the Pussycat. The concert is at 4pm on Saturday 16th June and tickets are £7 in advance (under 16s are free) or £9 on the day.
