Voicebeat is a multicultural singing group, or world music community choir if you like, the only one in Glasgow that we know of. It was started about eight years ago by Jane Tomlinson and is now led by Harry Campbell.

The group sings songs from around the world in easy unaccompanied harmony, often in foreign languages, in an informal, welcoming atmosphere. They are always keen to attract new singers. Whatever your background and experience, you are always welcome.

There’s no audition and you don't need to be able to read music, as all songs are taught by ear.

Voicebeat meets on Mondays (not Thursdays as before) from 7–9pm at The Annexe, Stewartville St, Partick, Glasgow G11 5PE.

Come along and give it a try?

Are You Britain’s Best Undiscovered Music Act? If the answer is 'YES' then we want to meet you... We are looking for acts of all ages and all genres for a brand new prime-time TV music talent show – and as long as you can sing or play music (or both), then you’re in. Are you the next Dizzee Rascal, Lily Allen, Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Susan Boyle, Girls Aloud, Take That, Il Divo, Jamie Cullum, Vanessa Mae or Katherine Jenkins? Solo artists, musicians, bands, groups and choirs of all sizes are welcome to audition. We are NOT offering a prize of a restrictive record deal that benefits everyone EXCEPT the artist. Instead we will prove that artists can be launched independently and get paid the money they deserve. For more information, and to register your interest, email us now, and include a daytime contact number to music@princesstv.com

I always look on here to see what's going on. We at the Bullwood Project have started the Mini Craft fairs in the Hopkirk Building next one is the Sunday the 6th of May. This is a free event, we started the craft fair to help people sell items they make in the projects workshop, it's such a boust to their convadance when someone buys something they have made. We also have local craft foke there as well to give a good balance. At the moment we have a waiting list for people wanting to be at the event showing their wears, so we must be doing something right? We want this to be a west end event and it will be on right through the year on the first Sunday of every month.
