All 3 of my children also attend dance and drama classes at G12 Studios (2 boys and a girl). The kids just love the classes and I think it is great as they have learned so much and are so enthusiastic every week. My eldest son who is nine just loves the drama classes as they work on audition techniques and on camera acting. My daughter is more into the dancing but she has came on so much and has became so much more confident! My younger son is only 2 and is hilarious but he really enjoys going and the classes have been great for him. The parents are friendly and the staff are really helpful and great with the kids. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for dance and drama classes. If you are interested I would e mail them at info@theacademyoftheatrearts.

Kim | Mon Feb 22 2010

Hi, I have just read Alison's comment and would also recommend G12 Studios Classes. My daughter has been attending the school for 6 months now. She is 9 and has been dancing on and off since she was 3. I have tried her out at many schools and have never really found one that is so welcoming. My daughter absolutely loves the classes and has made so many nice friends since she started. It really is such a lovely school and the teachers are great!

Gemma | Mon Feb 22 2010

If you are looking for a dance school for your child I would recommend the children's programme at G12 Studios on Ruthven Lane. Both my children (aged 6 and 3) attend and it is a great school. The staff are ever so welcoming and there is such a lovely, friendly atmosphere from the minute you walk through the door. All of the other parents are great also which is an added bonus and means that there is none of the 'my child is better than yours' attitude! When I went to go and see the children's first show in October I was amazed as I have never saw such a professional children's dance show and was surprised to see my 3 year old dance like a complete pro! I can honestly say I have never saw a show like it and the kids really did have a ball which is the main thing! I would definitely recommend it! if you are looking for classes I would give them a call and I am sure that they will give you some more information. Their number is 0845 299 0842.

Hey I'm looking for adult Irish Dance classes, preferably in the west end but am willing to travel on the subway! I did Irish dancing for nearly 10 years and gave up about 3 years ago. Anyone know anywhere please let me know as I really wanna get back into it!

Breffni O\' Connor | Thu Oct 29 2009

I am a second year Architecture student at The Glasgow School of Art and have been given a project in which I have to study a physical activity of my choice. I have chosen to study ballet as it was a major part of my childhood, having danced between the ages of 3 and 13. Part of the project is to visit a class of the chosen activity and make a short film and sketch the movements while the class is in session. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to attend one of your adult classes to record the information I need. Obviously I would need the permission of your dancers and I understand that some people may not want to be filmed, but hopefully some people would be willing enough as the information is for myself only. Does anyone know of a class I can attend?
