£3.50 for a full day ticket that can take you all around the network plus can be used for special offers at festival events across the city. You can hop on and off the trains all day if you like.

Over 300 exciting performers at subway stations across the city when the city's most popular form of transport will play host to a fantastic line-up of singers, dancers, musicians and acrobats.

The events will take place above and below ground at eight Subway stations - Partick, Kelvinhall, Hillhead, Kelvinbridge, Cowcaddens, Shields Road, Kinning Park and Cessnock. There will also be a performance on the last carriage of EACH AND EVERY train until 8pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday.

Passengers will also have the chance to take part in an exciting Subway Festival Treasure Hunt with one very lucky traveller winning an incredible family break at Crieff Hydro.

On-Train Listings

To make festival fun as easy as possible, on-train performances have been grouped into four categories; allowing passengers to pick and choose what they want to see and when.

Performances for Families - 10-3pm Saturday & Sunday

From SPT's very own Boo the Bunny to musical performances and magic and comedy from Alexander the Great, there's plenty of family fun to amuse little and big kids alike!

SPT is proud to a host a plethora of cutting edge theatre performances - with the world premiere of Martin O'Connor's 'Inner Circle' to 'Sub Opera', three minute soap operas from proudExposure and an array of site specific theatre.

Interactive - 12pm-5pm - Saturday & Sunday

Prepare for an entertaining journey around the Clockwork Orange with performers such as French Fling, a group of stunning can-can dancers and Random Aspekts - a cutting edge urban breakdancing crew.

Music - 5pm-8pm - Saturday & Sunday

Get ready for the night ahead with funky Subway Festival beats from Downstairs Mix Up. On Saturday, listen out for Same Sene & Diwan Drummers' Afrobeats and Senegalese dance grooves. On Sunday, The Banana Sessions are lining up a fruity selection of songs of tea, bananas and pirates!

Choose your Sub-Culture

The action continues above ground - highlighting some of the city's most exciting venues.

Kinning Park - Wild Life - Saturday & Sunday, 10am-4pm

One for families, Kinning Park will have a wildlife theme giving revellers the chance to pet and handle amazing animals including llamas, goats and ponies. There will also be story telling, face painting and workshops to inspire young imaginations.

Hillhead

The Subway Festival Markets - Saturday & Sunday, 10am-4pm Bag a bargain in the heart of the west end with a host of stalls from local traders at Dowanhill Primary, just a short walk from Hillhead station. The Subway Festival Fashion Fayre will show off some of the best in local vintage, retro, craft and bespoke design.

Kelvinbridge

The Underground Fairground - Saturday, 10am-7pm; Sunday, 10am-5pm Take a whirl on the waltzers, race on the galloping horses of take a bump on the dodgems. The wee ones can get a sweet treat, hook a duck, take a ride on a slide or a turn in a teacup and be sure to look out for Boo who'll be dishing out special Subway presents.

Kelvinhall

Get Active - Saturday & Sunday, 10am-5pm
Jump off at Kelvinhall and take advantage of free workshops at Mansfield Park and the Kelvinhall Sports Arena where you can try your hands (and feet!) at beatboxing, breakdancing and urban art. There's also free taster lessons on the EasySki System with your Subway ticket before midday.

Overground - Saturday & Sunday, 10am-5pm
Too big to fit on the trains, some of the Subway Festival's most exciting acts will be taking place at Partick Interchange. On Saturday, passengers won't want to miss Sputnik: A Project of Possibilities which is guaranteed to wow audiences with its combination of dance, music and a fantastic moving sculpture as the centrepiece.

On Sunday afternoon, aerial artists from Spinal Chord will take your breath away with amazing performances. In between shows, why not enjoy some uplifting tunes from the Glasgow Gospel Choir.

St Enoch

2 for 1 Art & Ride
Three special venues near St Enoch Station are offering two for one for some great events including a glamorous evening of cabaret, burlesque with performances from Daiquri Dusk, Leggy P and Miss Hells Belle at Sloans Bar at 7pm. With a very limited capacity, tickets cost £17.50 pp and include a two course dinner and a complimentary drink. Book by calling 0141 221 8886.

Cowcaddens

Lights, Camera, Action!
Over the festival weekend, the Glasgow Film Theatre is offering two for one film screenings when you show your Subway tickets so grab a friend and soak up some culture - for details of timings and screenings please visit

Cessnock

Glasgow Science Centre - 10am-5pm
The family fun continues at the Glasgow Science Centre where kids can go free when accompanied by a Subway ticket-holding adult all weekend and Bank Holiday Monday.

Shields Road

Scotland Street School Museum - Saturday, 10am-5pm & Sunday, 11am-5pm Step back in time at Scotland Street School Museum- there's a great line up of activities that you can enjoy for free simply by showing your Subway ticket including baking, clay animal making and papier mache workshops.

Rockwork Orange, Sloans Bar, Sunday 7pm - 1am

The Glasgow Subway Festival will come to an explosive finale on bank holiday Sunday (24th of May) when Sloans bar, in association with Rock Radio, hosts 'Rockwork Orange' - a night of musical entertainment with some surprise appearances from secret celebrity guests who will be stopping in to jam with some of Scotland's best up and coming acts.

With a great line up of live music, the action will be split over two levels of Glasgow's oldest bar, with Alfonzo, Alto Elite, Peep Show and White Ace performing in the Ballroom. Downstairs, the restaurant will be rocking out to music from Demon's Eye and Ryan Bisland while guests get in on the action with Guitar Hero Championships.
