The Beat Poets at Brel

Just like the festival, the Beat Poets celebrate 25 years in the business called show. Concocted by guitarist Tom Rafferty and saxophonist Keith Bruce, this surf-rock combo lured Californian axeman Dick Dale to Scotland and backed the late Alex Chilton. Their own tunes sometimes come spiced with idiosyncratic covers of Monk and Beefheart.
Madaleine Pritchard

Award winning songwriter Christine Bovill's residency at the Inn on the Green led to two hugely successful shows based on the life and work of Billie Holiday and Edith Piaf. Sway to the sounds of Lady Day and other jazz classics.

Havana Swing

Havana Swing play Django Reindardt-inspired jazz, playing swinging standards, Django tunes and whatever else they fancy, all given a gypsy jazz twist and played with panache.

Original, emotional, funny and poignant, Ian Shaw is one of the UK's finest jazz singers.
An incredibly colourful character (his career in performance began on the comedy circuit) he has been cited, along with Mark Murphy and Kurt Elling, as one of the world's finest male jazz vocalists
