DRAWING ROOM LAUNCHES BBQ BEATS FOR SUMMER 2009
Serving up a sizzling portion of the best local live music and sumptuous barbeque delights
Kelvingrove-based bar restaurant Drawing Room has announced the launch of BBQ Beats - a series of live music events for the summer. Includes terrace barbeque, board games and summer cocktails. Family-friendly and free entry.
The aim is to showcase the best local music talent in friendly, relaxed surroundings and provide an enjoyable day out for West Enders and visitors.
Organised and run by John Deery, host of The Quiet Riot, which runs every Thursday evening at Drawing Room.
BBQ Beats will run one Sunday a month from May to September. The dates are 24 May, 28 June, 26 July, 23 August and 20 September.
Each event starts from 2pm until late, with DJs playing soul, funk and house after the artists.

Located in the shadow of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Drawing Room opened in December 2006 and has built up a reputation for great food, friendly service and relaxed, ambient surroundings. Drawing Room has just been added to the 'Hit List' for Best Bar & Pub Food in The List's 'Eating & Drinking Guide 2009/10'. Drawing Room is dedicated to the support and promotion of local artists.
