Doors Open Days with Daniel's Beard (and friends!)
18th and 19th September
Cottier Theatre and Lansdowne Parish Church
As part of Doors Open Days this coming weekend (18th/19th September), both the Cottier Theatre and Lansdowne Parish Church will be throwing open their doors to the public! Not only will it be a great opportunity to see how the resoration work at Cottier's is progressing and to explore a little inside the Lansdowne Church, but there will also be some cracking music going on. Rather than put on a couple of concerts, we thought that we would line up a selection of different musicians and groups, so that we can really explore the potential of the buildings as a venue for some fantastic concerts in the future.
We're going to hold 4 open rehearsal sessions, where you are more than welcome to come in and wander around, sit and listen, admire the stained glass, ask questions of the musicians, make suggestions......entirely up to you!
To celebrate all of this, Cottier's Restaurant are going to put on a special Sunday Lunch, so if you have a spare couple of hours on Sunday lunchtime, then get yourself along to Cottier's where you can listen to some great music being prepared for performance, see some wonderful design and decoration in a beautiful building and then have a slap up feast in traditional style, all whilst helping to support Four Acres Charitable Trust - sounds good to me!
