The Cottier Chamber Project began in 2011, as part of Glasgow’s West End Festival. The series expanded over subsequent years, launching a pilot dance project, The Cottier Dance Project, in 2014, and becoming an independent festival for the fifth edition in 2015. The Cottier Chamber Project aims to:
- bring top quality professional chamber music to Glasgow’s West End
- showcase the variety and depth of talent in Scotland
- promote and introduce chamber music to new and existing audiences
- entertain, challenge, inspire and satisfy audiences and performers
- have a great time listening to and playing great music!

Opticks – Solo violin piece – World Premier
7th June, 2016, Cottier Theatre, 93 – 95 Hyndland Street, Glasgow, G11 5PU
Tuesday will see the premier of Aidan O’Rourke’s solo violin composition Opticks, inspired by the stained glass artist Daniel Cottier and performed by Alexander Janiczek with electronic collaboration from Ela Orleans.
It will be performed at Cottiers Theatre, Glasgow at 8.30pm on 7th June as part of the Cottier Chamber Project.
