The Paisley Spree, 9 – 17 October, 2015



The annual festival run by Renfrewshire Council has a fantastic range of music, comedy and more – in various venues around Paisley.

Acts this year include:

Idlewild joined by the RSNO for a unique performance Paisley Abbey

Capercaillie Karen Matheson and  Cara Dillon.   also in the Paisley Abbey.

Shows in the Spiegel tent in County Square in lucd;

Khartoum Heroes (ft King Creosote and Vic Galloway) and Kathryn Joseph, plus Happy Meals and PAWS.

The Tae Sup Wi’ a Fifer club night will feature James Yorkston and Karine Polwart, plus Aidan Moffat and Bill Wells  – Paisley Arts Centre.

James Grant and ex-Friends Again bandmate Chris Thomson will play The Spiegeltent alongside a string quartet from the RSNO, while the same venue will also host shows from Scottish singers Barbara Dickson and Horse McDonald.


ModStuff – two days celebrating all things Mod-related, across various venues in the town.

Comedy with Des McLean, Vladimir McTavish and Janey Godley.

There will also  film, theatre, and a full programme of kids’ events for the October week.
