VACANCIES FOR TEMPORARY SUMMER WORK 2015
Around 20 temporary Student Helper posts will be available during Summer 2015 to fulfil the role of First Line Support assistants, providing support and query resolution to students undertaking online registration and enrolment through MyCampus.
Working as part of this team within the Student Services Enquiry Team, the support assistants will provide a first point of contact for students needing assistance or requiring further information as they complete registration and enrolment during Summer 2015.
The posts will be available during the period from middle July until October. Hours will vary to meet demand and will include work between 8 am and 7pm and may include weekend working.
Grade 2, £14,344 – £15,054 (pro rata).
All candidates are expected to be available for training for at least 10 hours between 20-31 July and a minimum of 12 hours between August – October 2015.
Tact, diplomacy and sensitivity are key elements of this role, as is the ability to work as part of a team and remain calm under pressure. The roles also require good IT literacy, good communication skills and the ability to provide a high level of customer service.
Support assistants will use the University’s call management system, Supportworks, and student information system, MyCampus, to provide this service so familiarity with MyCampus is desirable, as is previous experience in a student support function or in a customer-facing role.
Both postgraduate and undergraduate students may apply along with students graduating this summer.

All students for whom English is not their first language must have a minimum pass mark of 8 in IELTS (International English Language Test Score) in order to be considered.
