Today - 14th September athletes will parade through Glasgow on three flat topped vehicles.

The route will take them from Kelvingrove Museum to George Square via Sauchiehall Street, Blythswood Street, West George Street, Buchanan Street, Argyle Street and Queen Street. Up to 17,000 people are expected inside George Square for the on-stage finale.

Gold medallists Sir Chris Hoy, Neil Fachie and Katherine Grainger will attend but no Andy Murray.

Thousands of people are expected to line the route along Sauchiehall Street,

The parade is planned to leave Kelvingrove Museum at 16:15 and arrive in George Square at 17:15, where athletes will take to the stage for celebrations.
