It's Gruffalo time at the Meadow

Added on Tuesday 29 May 2012

Well-known West End actor Tam Dean Burn says children who go down to their own special wood in North Kelvin Meadow this Sunday afternoon (June 3, 2pm to 4pm) are sure of a big surprise.

He'll be reading favourite children's story The Gruffalo at 2.30pm, and his audience may even catch a glimpse of the fabled beast - probably through the trees in the Children's Wood - during what's set to be a great free afternoon of summertime fun.

North Kelvin Meadow, reclaimed from former waste ground as a community resource by local residents (and currently the subject of a dispute about a planned housing scheme) can be accessed off Clouston Street.

Prizes, face-painting and "much more" will be on offer - for further information contact [email protected]

Parents are advised they're responsible for their children at all times.
