Photo: snowman at The Kibble. Christmas has been seeping into my consciousness lately, so with that in mind I've uploaded a wee present for you onto my myspace player; it's me singing Blue Christmas. It's my way of thanking you to your support this last year. There was not fancy studio or cutting edge recording technology involved in putting this down on tape; it's me sitting in my living room playing the song on my guitar - it's rough and ready - but from the heart. I recorded it yesterday morning. Hope you like it.

Talking of free downloads - here's another one for you, called, 'It's raining outside'. I recorded this song at Sammy Horner's studio - with the help of Sammy and Paul Baird - who plays the guitar on it. It was song written with Pat's help earlier this year. I hadn't planned to record it - but when visiting Sammy he asked me if there was anything I hadn't recorded yet for the next CD - and I played that one - so we recorded it. Hope you like it. You can download a copy of It's raining outside via this link:

Thanks to both Sammy (myspace sammy horner) and Paul (Paul plays guitar with The Electrics amongst others
- see the electrics myspace) for helping out - very much appreciated.

There's been lots going on recently - including: Being featured in the Clydebank Post in relation to the song 'You can't catch the Butterfly' (written by myself and Pat for the Memorial Garden fundraising concert organised by Anne Morgan; related to the memory of those who have taken their lives by jumping from the Erskine Bridge).

Been playing lots of gigs, including a really enjoyable gig at The State Bar with The Doghouse Roses (myspae doghosue roses) and Craig Hughes (myspace craig hughes). Also had a very enjoyable gig at the Edinburgh Folk club with Eddie Walker a few weeks ago.

Having the great singer songwriter Dinny sing backing vocals on some of my new songs for the next CD (and coming along and singing live with me at a recent Ettrick gig). Check out Dinny at dinny myspace.
