The Big Draw - the national campaign for drawing - comes to Glasgow's Botanic Gardens on Sunday 7 October 2007.

The free, family-friendly event is being held from 10 am - 4:30 pm in the newly refurbished Kibble Palace. The Big Draw is all about encouraging people to get involved with art and drawing and here in Glasgow, you can come along and draw your favourite part of the beautiful Botanic Gardens.

All the drawings will go to create a large-scale artwork which will be on show in Kibble Palace to the public during the following week.

West End artists from Room 15/19 are collaborating with artist Jamie Lewis and Hannah Jauncey from Make Art, a Glasgow-based business which runs art workshops for children, to organise Glasgow's event.

Event coordinator Hannah Jauncey says:
"It's great to see that so many people are excited about drawing and expressing what this unique space at the Botanics means to them. The Big Draw is an established campaign and it's brilliant that it's coming to the Botanic Gardens. I can't wait to see what people actually draw on the day! "

The event promises to be a great success and has received support from many local businesses. So make your way down to the Botanics Gardens on Sunday 7 October and take part in the Big Draw!
