Photo: Ali Abbassi. Ali Abbasi, the popular BBC Radio Scotland Travel Presenter, died on 6th August, 2004 aged 42. He was a real character and a very much loved man. His sister Mussie Abbasi Harrison, with some input from the BBC, has written a book on 'Ali Abbasi Our Memories'

The book was launched at BBC Queen Margaret Drive on 27th June, 2006 - proceeds from the sale of the book will go to charity and £800 was made on the night for Children in Need and Teenage Cancer Care.

Mussie the only sister of Ali Abbasi has already written a book in her brother memory which was launched 2nd Feb 2007 and the proceeds of the book went to Teenage Cancer Care and now Mussie is in the middle of writing another book n her brother memory is a cook book and the proceeds from the sale of the book are also going towards a children charity. When asked what inspired her to write a book Mussie said it was her way of grieving for her beloved brother Ali whom she is still missing to this day.Keep up the good work Mussie putting others before yourself.I love you Mum Celine age 11
