Photo: Colurful bag. Since Galletly and Tubbs opened in Glasgow's West End at Kelvinbridge the shop has attracted an enthusiastic clientele. With its wonderful selection of lighting, ceramics, furniture and intriguing accessories it is the discerning shoppers' delight.

Mark Galletly and Jim Blair together with the vivacious Sylvia Rossi put their heart and soul into this shop and it shows. Constantly they identify new sources giving G & T an ever-changing and very stylish international flavour. It is a wonderful place for seeking out unusual gifts and indulging in some really worthwhile retail therapy.

Recently they have introduced a dramatic range of Fair Trade ceramics from Peru and they have added to their intriguing Asia Tides, range showing the image of Pu Yi, the last emperor, and you will love the coloured glass buddhas. I am amazed at just how good a buddha can look.

Equally astonishing is the wonderful range of handbags. Their Vegan, Matt and Nat handbags from Montreal are beautiful, chic, sleek and in high demand. One of my most prized purchases is a colourful and elaborately designed bag - complete with frills and tassles it brightens up any outfit and has accompanied me to varies celebrations.

The M.Family bags from France have been designed by a genius and will put a smile on any girl's face and when Keira Knightley popped into the shop she could not resist a Natasha Farina bag. I have spotted quite a few celebrities browsing in the store and soon there will be even more to look at as there are plans afoot to open up the basement.

The shop has some wonderful lamps and shades in contemporary and classic designs with a strong European influence. At present I particularly like their dramatic black and white striped shades and their lovely little battery operated lamps - perfect for brightening up a drab corner - inside or outside. They also have some very elegant furniture including a sleek consul table which looks incredibly expensive but is in fact a real steal.

The summery ceramics, in lovely greens and aqua shades, are also very affordable and the Italian Marble Studio Vertu tiles make great little gifts. Especially those with a Scotsman on them!! There are also some humourous and quirky little items that could brighten up someones day - the red cow candles fall into this category.

I am also a big fan of their jewellery and my gorgeous blue earrings, which I bought there, attract lots of compliments so I wear them almost every day. The display cases have tier upon tier of wonderful bangles, bracelets, earrings, brooches and necklaces. The really daring will love the Lolita Pompadour accessories from Paris and Galletly and Tubbs are the sole Scottish stockist for the fabulous De Farro jewellery from Rome.

I'll be looking forward to the shop expanding - just means there will be lots more to see. Staff are very encouraging of browsers but be warned few leave empty handed.
