Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing opens at Kelvingrove this Friday in partnership with @RCT The display of 12 drawings by Leonardo lent by Her Majesty The Queen from the Royal Collection marks the 500th anniversary of the artist’s death. From 1 Feb – 6 May 2019. Entry is free.
Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing showcases 144 of the Renaissance master’s finest drawings from the Royal Collection. To mark the 500th anniversary of the artist’s death, the exhibition will be displayed simultaneously in 12 venues across the UK, with each location displaying 12 drawings reflecting the extraordinary scope of Leonardo’s interests from anatomy, maps, mechanical design, landscape, natural history and portraits.
