I called along to meet Dr Andrew McCall at the Clinic and was very impressed not only by the range of resources available but by the tranquil ambience and very attractive surroundings and the exceptionally courteous staff. I've always enjoyed going to the hairdressers, for a massage and facial and so on and don't even mind the dentist - starting to look like a visit to the doctor could also be a less stressful experience. What is skin tightening?
Skin tightening is a safe non-surgical cosmetic therapy designed to produce more youthful skin and improve skin quality. It was developed by leading US plastic surgeons and dermatologists. It is a quick procedure and involves no downtime or surgery.
How does it work?
Using high intensity laser technology, it remodels the collagen in the dermis, 2-6 mm below the surface of the skin, producing more youthful looking skin, ironing out lines and wrinkles, and better textured skin with smaller pore size.
What can I expect during treatment?
After putting on eye protection, the treatment takes from a few minutes up to an hour to complete, depending on the area treated. There is a short-lasting feeling of heat in the area being treated, with a sensation of a thin elastic band gently flicking the skin, lasting seconds. We use a cold pack on the skin, so any discomfort is taken away quickly. The treatment is not painful and there is no need to use local anaesthetic. Precautions - avoid strong sunlight and tanning lotions whilst undergoing therapy and use a high SPF sun factor, as this may cause unusual skin pigmentation.
How much does it cost?
Depending on the area you wish treated, costs start from £180 per treatment session. For the best results most clients need at least 2 or 3 treatments. Areas that can be treated are face, neck, arms abdomen, legs and thighs. Acne scarring, scarring in general and stretch marks can also be improved upon.
Opening Hours
Every effort has been made to provide a high quality and efficient service, for example, the Clinic has a dispensary so that prescriptions can be picked up before you leave and in special circumstances dispensary deliveries can be arranged.
Appointments can be arranged Monday to Friday from 9am to 7pm.
Home visits and out of hours appointments are also available.
