Photographs from Glasgow West End Festival 2008. Every year Byres roads is shut off and the road is turned into a carnival with music stalls and hordes of people. And of course there is the parade - which this year was a great one. Here are some photos from todays parade. More to follow.

Hi Jim - I did try to join in your virtual cafe - the idea of a nice virtual coffee appeals! But the following message appeared: Your invitation code appears to be invalid. Codes only last for seven days; it's possible that yours is older.If you still want to join My Byres Road Cafe , click the Register link. This was about 7 minutes after I'd registered and had signed on successfully. I couldn't sign on again when I inadvertently signed out!
