It's been a while since I have updated my photo diary - sorry about that - but I've was distracted with the issue of how to fix the problems we were having with our webserver. It's fixed now - the problems were due to a faulty memory chip in the server - but it took a while to figure it out.So now that we are back-on-air, here are a few photographs I've taken over the last couple of weeks.
Looking across the Bowling green at Kelvingrove park towards Dumbarton Road (or is it Sauchihall Street at this point?).
Some photos from of the newly refurbished stairyway at Kelvinbridge.
Detail from one of the statues in Kelvinway.
A photography of Anne Cathcart from the Full Circle gallery.
Shops on Woodlands Road.
A colourful costume from this year's festival parade.
I took some photographs of the Glasgow University Reading Room, and the surrounding area. The jumble of 'modern' buildings focused around the Hunterian Art Gallery, is in stark contrast to the Gothic style of the main university buildings just a stone's throw away.
A grand Hillhead Villa now converted to a student residence (if the sign on the gate is to be believed).
Wellington Church with Glasgow University tower in the background.
Here we are at the 'celebrations' for the closing of Kelvingrove Art gallery - all-dressed-up-to-the-nines.
The walls of the Hunterian Art Gallery, reduced to abstract shapes by the low evening sun.
The return of my occasional 'mystery photograph' competition; where in the West End is this engraved gate post to be found? I will give you a clue; the former owner made his fortune from a particular brand of whisky. As usual - it is just a bit of fun - please leave you answer as a comment at the bottom of the page.
I have a selection of my photographs for sale in the Gallery Shop.
