Jim's Glasgow West End Photo diary
Photography articles
Here are some of the photographs I have taken while out and about in the West End of Glasgow - I hope you find them interesting. Click on the images to view larger versions. You are free to download and use for non-commercial purposes any of my photographs as long as you put a link to this site and give me credit for the photograph (Jim Byrne)
Some months the images are a mixture of photographs of the West End, photographs of Glasgow and photographs of Scotland.
23rd August 2007
One upside of our new flat is that we can sit and watch the sunset - setting over the Anniesland tenements. This sky thing is a bit of a novelty for us - as previously we couldn't see much from our Hillhead window apart from the mature trees that did a good job of blocking the light. The trees had their own charm - but the sky is winning for me at the moment.
Another novelty for us is our balcony - which Pat is filling with flowers and plants - to good effect.
Some of the Onions we grew at our allotment - hanging up to dry.
Pat working at the Kirklee allotments. Though it's been a bad summer for growing - we've still had a bumper crop of potatoes, onions and peas to keep us happy. The lettuce were doing well for a while until the slugs won out.
A photo Pat took of me taking photographs from the top of Melrose Abbey during our trip to the Scottish borders a few weekends ago.
