Opera on a Shoestring

Scott at the Opera :The Waverley Novels as Tartan Operas Award winning Opera on a Shoestring return to the West End Festival with their latest production, exploring the many 19th-century operas based upon novels and ballad poems of Sir Walter Scott. You may well know Lucia di Lammermoor by Donizetti, but what about La Jolie Fille de Perth by Bizet, by Rossini and Jeanie Deans from Scott's novels and journals, will be performed by four singers accompanied on piano in a drawing-room setting.

"Their entertainment has all the panache of a recreated Edwardian dinner party... Opera on a Shoestring carve a neat peg on which to hang a significant chunk of the world of Opera..." The Scotsman
