Gilmorehill is pleased to welcome children, families and schools to its children's book programme. A chance to meet live authors, be inspired and entertained! Specially signed copies of authors' books will be available at each event. A non returnable booking fee of £25 is payable per class. A limited number of places are available for individual bookers at school events.

How To Learn A Language In An Hour!

How much of a foreign language can you learn in an hour? An unfamiliar language, one with strange sounds and odd expressions? More than you think! Local linguist Derek Rogers will kick-start you in a real but unusual language - Finnish, maybe, or Slovenian. You'll find out which language when you get there! At the end of the hour you'll have short conversation with a native speaker. Think of that - in a language you didn't know an hour before!
