Burn Gigantic

Transfigured presents this exuberant site-specific performance work to celebrate the midsummer of the Millennium. Drawing on the European theme of Giants, Alex Rigg and his team will create a giant figure in Kelvingrove Park on the Saturday nearest the Longest Day. The event features a procession of figures, a performance of Dick Lee's music by the Vale of Atholl Pipe band, dance and a ritual firing of the giant Giganticus.

Performance begins at 10.30 pm Free admission. Wrap up warm!

This event takes place with financial assistance from Glasgow's Millennium Fund and by kind permission of Glasgow City Council Land Services.
