Femme Fatales and Fragile Frails: Women in Pulp Fiction
August 3 – August 31
Glasgow Women’s Library
Give the up-and-down to the exhibition celebrating the pleasures of pulp – the lurid covers, the over-the top characters, the double-crosses, the double-dealings and the double Ds. Books such as The Unfortunate Flesh, Swamp Brat, The Case of The Radioactive Redhead, The Girls in 3-B, Stranger in My Grave and Black Amazon of Mars.
Femme Fatales and Fragile Frails:
Women in Pulp Fiction Exhibition
Monday 3rd to Monday 31st August
No need to book, just drop in
‘Ya want more gen? Come and see Donna. She’ll sing like a canary. Or get on the blower and let’s jaw. And don’t be a bunny and come wearing iron or you’ll take the bounce. We’ll call in the cops to slap on the bracelets and cart you off to the cooler. They’ll maybe play a little chin music with ya, fill you so full of lead you could double as a colander and slap you in a Chicago overcoat.
No giggle juice or hooch, but we can make you a cup of java and shoot the breeze. Don’t be a patsy, come and chill your chat with tea and cake. Savvy?’
