The Bay Tree
403 Great Western Road, (334 5898). A good selection of vegetarian choices (meat dishes cooked separately). Situated very conveniently near Kelvinbridge Underground it's a popular meeting place. The Bay Tree has been a firm favourite since it was established some years ago. Good value and interesting food with lots of spices and herbs.
Monday - Sunday 9.30a.m. - 10.30 p.m. - BYOB.(£)
Stereo
11 - 13 Kelvinhaugh Street. 576 5018.
Formerly West 13th, Stereo offers appeals to the young crowd offering veggie burgers and cheap grub along with Indie gigs. Organic wines and range of bottled beers. £
Practically all of the restaurants have vegetarian choices - (note Balbirs under the Indian section for Indian cuisine vegetarian style).
Comments
McHuills Way Out West on Kelvinhaugh St has now re-opened as West 13th (http://www.help13.co.uk) with the management and staff of the old 13th Note. The new pub has the all-vegan menu (smaller menu, but more emphasis on daily changing specials and quality) and regular gigs of the old.
