Glasgow West End: Pat's Guide to Eating Out: Restaurants, Cafes and Bistros: French

La Patisserie Francoise, 138 Byres Road. This restaurant has expanded from its original tiny proportions responding to the demand for an impressive array of tempting pastries and gateaux. A pleasant spot for lunch or coffee. (£) You can also buy patisserie cakes to take away. Julie Gorevan chose the very best selection for her birthday tea in January, 2000 - it was a great party with the table set to perfection.
September, 2006. Still the great cakes and beautifully refurbished. The soup is the best - especially the vegetable, just delicious. Lovely staff including Zana from Monte Negro.

Mitchell's West End, 35 Ashton Lane - 0141 339 2220

A popular little restaurant in the heart of the West End. Good atmosphere, great food and good deals. The menu changes frequently so you can keep coming back. Only open evenings. (££)

La Bavarde 19 New Kirk Road, Bearsden. - 0141 942 2202

I am currently a french student in a business and marketing master degree, in Montpellier south of France. I have to realize a 6 months placement and i've been looking since 2 months now to do one in Glasgow. I still didn't have a positive answer but i won't give up as long as i know i have to come over Scotland and more over Glasgow. i have skills in a lot of fields such as data analysis, marketing ( and many fields in marketing), network distribution, e-business, and management. I'll be in Glasgow in mid - February for a week, and then be really pleased to discuss properly these postions with you.

Every other French word on the menu in Patisserie Francoise is spellt wrong, as in so-bad-it's-funny wrong. There goes my misconception that the place had at least one French staff - or maybe they're just illiterate?
