A tranquil growing space and community garden located on the site of Glasgow’s medieval Franciscan friary. It’s a showpiece stalled space boasting raised beds, greenhouses, DIY wormeries & composting and a wildflower meadow. A one-off opportunity to meet the enthusiastic gardeners!

This is a one off opportunity to visit our hidden gem and to meet our enthusiastic gardeners. You will see at first hand what can be grown in 1 and 2 metre square plots; enjoy the beauty of the garden and wildflower meadow; learn how to make your own composting area and wormery; learn how the garden got it’s name and see how whisky barrels provide the water life for the garden.

Part of the Children’s Programme: We will run a garden trail quiz for children( 5 – 12 years)  at 11.30 and 2.30 on 19th & 20th September. This quiz will take children on a fun tour of the growing plots and increase their knowledge of pants and vegetables grown in the garden. Children mus

Restrictions on Access: The wildflower meadow isn’t wheelchair accessible and the paths in the garden are level but graveled .
