Wim Wenders (Wings of Desire, Paris, Texas) follows up his pioneering documentary Pina 3D by overseeing another documentary project exploring the possibilities of stereoscopic cinema. Cathedrals of Culture features six short films from six acclaimed directors – including Robert Redford and Wenders himself – each focusing on a different world-famous building, from Berlin Philharmonic to Halden Prison in Norway. Each film uses ingenious camera work and meticulous sound design to transport audiences into ‘the soul’ of the buildings; a totally unique cinema experience.
Glasgow Film Theatre, 12 Rose Street, Glasgow, G3 6RB.
