Ten Writers Telling Lies is a collaborative project between some of Glasgow’s most talented writers and the musician Jim Byrne.  In prose and poetry the writers will capture the story of a song they have co-written. This will culminate in the production of a CD and complementary book.

The writers and poets taking part in the project include: Calum Maclean, Gillian Mayes, James Carson, James Connarty, Micheal Norton, Pat Byrne, Pauline LynchSamina Chaudry, Stephanie Brown and Stephen Watt

Ten Writers Telling Lies has performed at a number of literary festivals including Book Week Scotland, West End Festival, Gibson Street Gala and West Dunbartonshire Booked Festival:

West Dunbartonshire Libraries were delighted to welcome Ten Writers Telling Lies to Dalmuir Library as part of our 2017 Booked! Festival. This was a very special event for us and our audience were enthralled by this unique collaboration between emerging writers and musicians. No-one was very sure about what to expect but the event was a great success with lots of very positive audience feedback’

‘Yet further proof, were it needed, of the ongoing vibrancy of Glasgow literature. The stories sing and soar, and these are definitely writers to watch. You read them here first, folks!
