It has been a hectic year

It certainly has been a hectic year with my exhibition at the Botanic Gardens,Paintings on Railings as well as my many commissions.

The run up to Christmas has been exceptionally busy with commissions for illustrations of clients' houses, where couples were married and West End Scenes

I have also been promoting some fellow west end artists including Allan Richardson and Robin Miller. Both are very well known and respected artist. I have included some of thier work on my site www.scottishillustrations.co.uk. If there are any artists out there what would like to be included, please leave me a message.

Other work I have undertaken over the past year has been setting up an Art Consultancy Service where businesss' can rent art for their offices or business premises. The service has worked well as I change them round every few months to keep their office looking fresh for their staff.

I have enclosed some of my work from the past year. If you would like to see more of my commissioned work and the current series of prints, the link to my site is www.scottishillustrations.co.uk and www.gconway.co.uk

Christmas Cheer!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well and not too stressed by the run up to Christmas. I seem to have things under control well before Christmas, well the cards are done anyway and don't believe in starting the Christmas shopping until Christmas Eve!
I've been really busy recently painting commissions for the festive season with orders coming from as far a field as Dumfries, Whitburn and even London. It's great to be promoting Glasgow as a beautiful place through my website.
I have also met up with Lynne Scobbie who does the paintings on the railings. This is excellent for me as Lynne has a tremendous wealth of experience which she is generous enough to share and she helps me immensely.
In between working and painting I managed a trip to Amsterdam with my wife at the end of November. What a City! I don't we've ever had such a good holiday. The place is an inspiration so don't be surprised if you see an Amsterdam influence in my n
ew work.

I have just completed a new series of work which you can see on my website www.scottishillustrations.co.uk. Ashton Lane still remains my most popular picture and I've updated it as well as adding Oran Mor and the Cloisters at Glasgow University to the collection - so if you are like me and need last minute inspiration for a gift , give me a shout.

Merry Christmas

Garry

My passion for illustrating the West End

Botanic Gardens gateI am an enthusiastic illustrator and specialise in west end scenes which is an ideal way to combine both my passion for art and the west end of Glasgow.

Different scenes appeal to different people but Ashton Lane has undoubtably been my most popular work to date. It would appear that most people have enjoyed the pubs and restuarants there at some time or another and some like myself on far more than one occassion!

Here are some of my most people works. Have a look through them and let me know your thoughts. A print of the west end is an ideal and unique gift for any one who holds the area in affection.

Ashton Lane If any scenes are special to you or required as a gift but not shown here, I can produce a one off illustation for you. Alternatively check my website at www.scottishillustrations.co.uk.  for my full range of work available as originals or prints.
